New Logo
Simple.
With all the changes taking place around Cat Norman Photography, I felt I need to roll out a new logo to represent this newness. I want my life to be simple. My business should be simple. And, therefore, my logo should be simple. Simpler. Simple is good.
Old logo, for reference –

In the last year I have advertised myself as a corporate and music portrait photographer, event photographer, world photojournalist, architectural interior, exterior, documentary photographer, photo assistant, multimedia producer, occasional shooter weddings and family… the list goes on. But I’m stepping back. My bags were getting too heavy and I’m lightening the load.
Today I am Cat. And I am a world photojournalist who takes documentary portraits. I am light. I’m on the move. And this is what I look like:
slice of life. china.
I realize it’s been a few months since I was in China, but I’ve only recently finished processing the personal images I took while I was there. So I am only now sharing a few of the best images I got when I was out and about in the gallery below. Click on any image to enlarge it. A few have been featured on this blog already and a few are new. As always, all images © Cat Norman Photography. Please do not steal from me.
Winter
It’s been cold here and we even got a whole half-inch of snow in Atlanta. Big deal. So yesterday I took my roommate out in the backyard to get some shots for her. Some shots for me. It was freezing. My camera was a block of ice. The light was nice.
I haven’t done photos for me for a while now and it was refreshing. I like what I got.
Check it.
New Year, New Opportunities
Cat Norman Photography is going international!
I have gotten the amazing opportunity to move to Prague in the Czech Republic. What does this mean for Cat Norman Photography? After January 31st, I will no longer be accepting event, architectural or portrait work in Atlanta, Georgia. I will be keeping the business up though! I’ll now be focusing solely on world photojournalism and personal work.
So keep an eye out here on my photo blog and on my personal blog if you’d like to follow my continuing adventure. Please feel free to contact me if you’d like to hire me in January 2010, hire me for international photojournalism, or if you’d like me to recommend other photographers in the Atlanta area.
Happy New Year!
EO – Viva la Vida!

DJ Rare Form
After three years of shooting the EO holiday party, I’ve learned to look forward to the fun, laughter, and wild dancing that inevitably ensues…
This year, they met at Eclipse di Luna in Atlanta for a flamenco themed party. The highlight of the evening was a ‘So You Think You Can Dance?’ spoof where members got to get up dance for the judges with their date (or someone elses…). They got 30 seconds to salsa their hearts out and then the top scoring three couples won tickets to an exciting event later in the month. It was hard to shoot but awesome to watch. Afterwards DJ Rare Form spun Rock-Funk-Soul-whatever to keep the crowd dancing…

This one goes to 11, apparently.
